Smell Ya Later Pete the Previa!

Bye Pete, thanks for the memories!

Yes, we named our van…got a problem with that? If so, you’ll have to take it up with my children, they are responsible. However, I also have a thing for naming inanimate objects …so I guess you could say it runs in the family. A little weird we know…but lots of famous cars have names, Herbie, Christine (eww creepy…never, ever, EVER, name your car Christine!) Kit, and possibly a Lucille?…anyone remember a famous car named Lucille? Oh no, wait..I was thinking of Chuck Berry’s B.B. King’s guitar. Scratch Lucille, but that would be a great car name wouldn’t it?

Here he is, being hauled away.

Yesterday when I said Pete was “dead as a doornail” I wasn’t exaggerating..no siree bob…the guy who bought him, (for his parts of course) needed a tow truck to get him outta here.

Poor Pete. But we’re glad he’ll be of good use to someone else. We even took some souvenirs…cause that’s what we do. Squander memorabilia any chance we get.

In his day Pete musta been quite a “looker”…notice the LE letters?

I figured this would be an appropriate follow-up post to yesterday’s considering Pete (aka mini-van tent trailer) played quite a supporting role. Plus I’m trying to make sure I give ample space between “House” posts so I don’t make you wanna gag yourselves with a spoon. But I will warn you…there is gonna be a lot of house talk coming up…cause with all the exciting reno/fix-up/buildy things I have planned, those posts will pretty much write themselves…and for a “fly-by the seat of her pants” kinda gal I am…that is really appealing!!!

  1. Ah yes “Dirty Blue”…he will never be forgotten…nor will the “Starship Enterprise”!!! Wonder what ever became of those two…hmmmm…. :)

  2. HA! We have horse named Pete! Gotta love that name. My daughter calls her car (which is our car, not hers at all, but anyway) Tina — think the llama in Napolean Dynamite!
Poor Pete… but hello…. who’s the new guy???
Anyway, what’s that smoke coming out of the back of Pete? Boy he’s really in bad shape, I’d say. Good riddance!

    • I love that you have a horse name Pete…and even more so that your daughter has a car named after Llama Tina!!! Haha thats very funny! Ya that smoke is definitely an environmental hazard…my neighbours would all take shelter when I pulled out in the mornings…think Uncle Buck!! Mr. MDX is his replacement and working out very nicely :) ))
