Remember when I took you on a beautiful house tour of my sister’s neighbourhood after my visit over spring break? If you read the jibber jabber you will know I made a promise to write about Jenn.
Well folks the time has come, Jenn will be the star for the next couple of days. Project Mayhem is coming to an end soon, and I figured I would save the best for last!
I’ve got lots to share about my talented sister and thank goodness she said I could blab about her, because after writing a daily post for a month I’m tired and feel a little taped out! I’ll fill you in on what she’s been up to with her jewellery business, before and after photos of her home renovations, and her thoughts on US politics.
I’m just messin’ with ya, I’m not really going to share her views on US politics…but she does live there and is very smart when it comes to current events.
Because we live on opposite sides of the continent, she in Florida and I in British Columbia, we spend a lot of time on the phone. Shockingly, neither of us sits still while we’re chit chatting….we are both multi taskers extrodinaire and flit around our houses doing various duties. I’m usually cleaning or something else boring, but not Jenn. No, my sister makes projects and finishes up special work orders. She really is one talented gal!
Here are some of the projects she started and completed all during a few different phone conversations with me.
Embellished Pillows - she gussied up these standard pre-made Ikea pillows with stuff she had lying around
Onsie Dress – She had a onsie professionally embroidered with my niece’s monogram and added a skirt and wide ribbon bow…Ta Da! A dress!
Onsie/Bib Sets – Jenn is always embarking on new ventures…these were little sets she made for special events and a local boutique
Vintage ornamental Jewlery – she is so good at making jewellery she can whip it up in her sleep. I actually think she may have been napping, making these and talking to me
I told you she was talented!
It’s hard not being able to see my sister as much as I’d like…our phone conversations can be long and expensive…
…but Jenn sure does get a lot of work done!
I can’t wait to share her with you!
Wow – she’s one of THOSE! I have a friend like that – who can go in a thrift store and just grab something, drape it over something in her house, or sew it to something and it looks like the best thing in the world. Me, well, I bring it home and just stare at it – and my things just look like things I got at the thrift store
That jewelry really rocks! Does she have a website? Do tell…!
Oh Anne Katherine you have no idea!! She is talented with just about everything…totally one of “those”! Her jewelry is really stunning…she just came out with a new line…and I’m off to blog about it!! I’ll post her website in the post for you!
